PATIENT RIGHTS POLICY
1- Benefiting from the service
Benefiting from healthcare services within the framework of the principles of Justice and Equity. Patients have the right to receive service regardless of race, language, religion and sect, gender, philosophical belief, economic and social status.
2- Informing and requesting information
Patients have the right to learn about all kinds of healthcare services and opportunities and to request all kinds of information about their health status, verbally or in writing.
3- Selecting and changing the healthcare institution and staff
Patients have the right to choose and change the healthcare institution, to benefit from the healthcare services provided in the healthcare facility they choose, to learn, to choose and change the identities, duties and titles of the doctors and other healthcare staff who will give healthcare services.
4- Privacy
Patients have the right to receive all kinds of healthcare services in a confidential environment.
5- Fulfilling religious responsibilities
Patients have the right to fulfill their religious responsibilities in line with the possibilities of the healthcare facility and within the framework of the precaution taken by the administration.
6- Respect for human values, being respected, comfort
Everyone has the right to receive a healthcare service with respect, care and attention, in a friendly, gentle and compassionate environment, where all hygienic conditions are met and all disturbing factors are eliminated.
7- Visitation and accompanying
Patients have the right to accept visitors within the framework of the procedures and principles determined by the healthcare institutions, and to have a companion, if the physician deems it appropriate, within the scope of the legislation and the possibilities of the healthcare institution.
8- Right to apply, complain and sue
In case of violation of their rights, patients have the right to make all kinds of appeals, complaints and litigation within the framework of the legislation.
Your Responsibilities
1- General Responsibilities
a) Patients should do their best to take care of their own health and follow the advice given for a healthy life.
b) Patients can donate blood or donate organs, if appropriate.
c) In simple cases, patients have to take care of themselves.
2- Social Security Status
a) The patient has to inform the changes in health, social security and personal information promptly.
3- Notifying Healthcare Professionals
a) Patients must comply with the rules and practices of the healthcare institution.
b) If patients benefit from a healthcare institution that provides service with an appointment, they must comply with the date and time of the appointment and notify the relevant departments of the changes.
c) Patients should respect the rights of hospital staff, other patients and visitors.
d) The patient has to compensate for the damage caused to the hospital equipment.
4- Compliance with Recommendations Regarding Treatment
a) The patients should listen carefully to the advice about their treatment and drugs and ask about the parts they do not understand.
b) If patients can not comply with the recommendations regarding the treatment, they should inform their doctor.
c) Patients should indicate whether they understand the healthcare and post-discharge care plan correctly.
d) Patients are responsible for the consequences of refusing the treatment or not following the recommendations.
